Measure the furniture, not just the mattress
Use the outer size of the bed frame, sofa or other item, including protruding parts. A mattress label does not include the frame. Measure between the inside faces of the room walls.
What this check includes
This compares one rectangle with another. Doors, windows, other furniture and access routes are not included. A geometric fit does not guarantee a usable layout or that furniture can pass through a doorway.
